X-Box Classic

The Old School X-Box still rocks...

Granted the Xbox is old and no new games will ever come out for it again, but hell, if you want to simply have a fun time buy this and a bunch of cheap games like Burnout Revenge for $5 and have a blast!

This black behemoth of a system looks and plays just like a video game machine, but just much, much better. Inside it are an 733MHz processor, DVD playback capabilities, support for high-speed networking, among other things. Evidently, the Xbox does more than just play games.

Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the sharp, crisp images that the Xbox outputs, the fact that it supports 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound and that it delivers 256 simultaneous voice channels, previously unheard of in a game system. What does this all mean? Well, basically that you'll get the most realistic experience ever in video gaming.

Its sleek looks ensure that the Xbox will look right at home with your other home theatre accoutrements but before you throw out your DVD player, know this: to view DVD movies, you'll need to cough up for the DVD Movie Playback Kit.

Also, to get the most out of the audio-visual performance, you're best off forking out a little extra for the Advanced AV Pack which has an S-Video connector as well as optical digital jacks.

Regardless, Xbox comes with a built-in 8GB hard drive so you don't need to buy extra memory cards to save your game progress. And the games load quickly since they cache levels on the speedy hard driver as opposed to reading the game's information from the disc. Yet another plus point is the ability to drop audio CDs into the console and copy music to the drive. Add a comment

M
ac OS X, the worlds most advanced operating system, just connect, plug, and you're playing.

The Apple Mac mini MB463LL/A Desktop will work with either Mac or PC-compatible peripherals, which makes it easier than ever to upgrade from an older Mac or PC system. All you have to do is connect your USB mouse & keyboard, then hook up your DVI or VGA display (an adapter is included). Then, just plug it in, turn it on and you're ready to go.

Now this is power packed into a small package - Apple has outdone themselves! Under the sleek anodised aluminum styling of the Mac mini is a G4 processor, room for up to 1GB PC2700 main memory, a Radeon 9200 graphics chip, and a large enough hard drive, with up to 80 GB to store today's digital media.

With the mini connections you can hook-up your digital devices like cameras, iPod, printer, camcorder, and your keyboard. There is even a audio/ headphone jack. You can customise this Mac with some great extra options after you select your Mac Mini.

You have the choice to use your own keyboard and mouse or choose the Apple Wireless keyboard and mouse and free yourself from the clutter of cables.

You will need the Bluetooth module and with it you will also be able to have wireless access to printers, cell phones, PDAs, input devices and other peripherals. Or add a AirPort Extreme Card and have the freedom of wireless networking from anywhere in your home.

Although you must have these features added when ordering your Mac or they will have to be added by an authorised service provider because they are not user-installable. A slot-loading SuperDrive added will let you play and burn both CDs and DVDs.

So be sure to check out the most advanced, convenient, and affordable Mac in history!
