ift wrapping it might be a trick, but affording it might be even trickier. DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group is building a booming, 500-horsepower, four-wheel concept motorcycle called the Dodge Tomahawk that will be sold via the Neiman-Marcus Christmas catalog.

One Tomahawk will be sold through the catalog at the stratospheric price of $925,000 - approximately $333,000 more than the sticker price on their ultra-upscale DaimlerChrysler Maybach limousine.

But Chrysler spokesman David Elshoff says - seriously - that the automaker will offer Tomahawk financing at "competitive rates," which have yet to be announced.

At, say, 1.9 percent interest over five years, that would be 60 convenient monthly payments of just $16,163.16. Up to nine additional replica Tomahawks will be built by R&M Motorsports in Wixom, Mich., where the original was built, Elshoff said.

While the replicas will be exact copies of the original, the owners will have to truck their Tomahawk around or push it or simply display it for friends, as it will be a non-functional big boy's toy.
