Bluemarine Bellissima

A penchant for the colour blue and a passion for the sea were the inspiration behind the Blumarine label, a venture launched in 1977 when Anna Molinari and her husband Gianpaolo Tarabini Castellani decided to set up the company Blumarine in Carpi.

The idea was a winner: in 1980 the Blumarine label made its highly successful debut at Modit in Milan and the first show in 1981 during the Milan fashion events was also a success. Then in 1986 Anna Molinari debuted on the Milan Fashion Week scene with a collection of all her own designs. In 1987 the Miss Blumarine line of clothing for girls came into being and the licensing experience started up.

In 1988 Blumarine decided to change direction and became a public limited company under the name of Blufin with Gianpaolo Tarabini as sole director and his son Gianguido in charge of licences. In the 1990s the Blumarine image was transformed and the first monobrand boutique was opened in Via della Spiga in Milan. Blugirl is the line for young women introduced in 1995. Designed by Anna Molinari, it debuted during Milan Fashion Week in 2002 to wide applause.

The label expresses a feminine ideal at once true to the Blumarine spirit and open to fanciful reinterpretation. In 2006 Gianguido Tarabini became sole director of Blufin S.p.A. A lasting impression in the Blumarine world is what have made the now legendary ad campaigns by photographers of the caliber of Albert Watson, Gianpaolo Barbieri and Helmut Newton. They star gorgeous supermodels: Monica Bellucci, Carré Otis, Naomi Campbell...

Likewise for the more recent campaigns shot by Craig McDean. Thanks to the highest standards of creative content and product quality, the Blumarine brand currently enjoys a luxury positioning. In confirmation of the brand's success and renown as a leading name in Italian fashion, in recent years many celebrities and stars have dressed Blumarine on prominent occasions. Today Blumarine retail locations number over a thousand worldwide.

They include a total of ninety monobrand stores, in-store shops and corners that capture a concept of romantic femininity through an interior décor all about soft hues, exquisite lightness and precious luminosity. A conceptual style strong on edgy research, where attention to sartorial detailing and pure fluidity of shape define the Blumarine vision of femininity. Ever quietly sensual.

Bellissima. The New Fragrance From Blumarine.

A name. A pure and simple concept. An absolute superlative. Anna Molinari dedicates her new fragrance to women, to feminine harmony and gorgeous natural beauty. Offering the most coveted of compliments. Bellissima is a perfect reflection of the personality of the Blumarine woman: romantic, sweet, seductive and sophisticated. An icon of beauty, part child and part woman. Charmingly delightful, totally feminine. Bellissima: this is the hidden promise of the new Blumarine fragrance.

Bellissima. The Bottle: Romantic Luxury

All in crystal, as if to underline its ethereal fragility, this bottle by famed Parisian designer Thierry De Baschmakoff captures and conveys deep emotions. The sense of purity is there in the geometric shapes. Then for a graceful feminine touch, the rectangular base is perfectly smooth on sides. The dazzling design and the perfume's soft rosy peach hue frame the name in glossy black relief lettering. The crystal stopper heightens the impact, as the finely faceted circular base relinquishes a geometric shape in favour of glints of light that illuminate the whole bottle.

Creativity and style, personality and chic merge in a packaging as exquisite as what it contains. The Blumarine Bellissima box makes a richly textured statement where fine pleating calls forth both the brand's typically luscious fabrics and the stopper's characteristic faceting. The special rosy peach colour finds a delicate outline in the fine black border that gives the packaging a modern glam flair.

The Perfume: An Elixir, Essence Of Beauty

Here comes a new beauty potion, an elixir: Bellissima, the new fragrance from Blumarine. A mere few drops to feel attractive, romantic and sensual… simply gorgeous. Bellissima. A beauty potion, an essence where the unprecedented olfactive pyramid captures deep stirrings of the soul in perfect equipose. The result is a perfume, expression of olfactive harmony, enfolding in unison three different moods: Attraction, Romanticism and Seduction.

The top notes spark attention, immediately entice, induce an intense feeling of wellness, a vibrant charge of positive energy. Fresh drops of morning dew make an irresistible impact, announce a Wellness accord where wonderfully exotic Ginger, reminiscent of faroff lands, meets succulent Orange and vivacious Grapefruit.

The heart notes say no to all rational impulses, abstract reasoning, give free rein to the imagination, exalt the perfume's sense of spontaneity and originality. What emerges is a romantic heart where Peony Petals and Passion Flower work magic with glints of brightness from silky Sunny Sexy Flowers.

The dry down fosters a pure and innate sensuality. Finalizing the utter alchemy is the soft sensuousness of Cashmeran, the passion of Sandalwood and the unique charm of Vanilla Orchid, all in a velvety whisper of Musk. A true concentrate of emotions, a perfume sparking a strong sense of attraction, capturing a lofty world of timeless romanticism, inspiring an innate sensuality.
